Due to me wanting to go to uni for illustration/book art or fashion but I'm going to focus on illustration tomorrow more. (Well, so far that's the area I aspire to counteract with.) I have looked at the Uni's specifically on the Design Your Future PDF!
- UNI STANDS
- Leeds College Of Art - After further research, this has really good reviews and outcomes for people who are interested in illustration and aspiring book artist's. (83)
- Manchester School of Art- This specific uni course is classified as 'Illustration with animation' which completely interests me entirely. I have always been interested in animation so this could be a big interest to me and will definitely be a uni course to consider. (5)
- Sheffield - This is going to be, most likely, a final choice for me because it's so close to home for me to want to go there. But, still, it's one to consider due to Sheffield being a hugely artistic city and is a city very close to my heart. The uni has a good reputation. (49)
- Kingston Uni London - If you don't look at the price, this is one to consider. However, the pricing is extortionate, this is a uni with an incredible reputation and is one definitely to look at. (4)
- Anglia Ruskin Uni - Cambridge school of art has probably one of the best reputations for art. Again, the expense is extortionate but it's one to consider carefully and I definitely want to look further into. (110)
- NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM
(Entrance to the earth galley)
I am particularly intrigued into looking at Natural History Art Techniques. They are an aspect you don't especially see anymore and I think they're a huge part of art history that I really am looking forwards to looking into.
Along side that, I am looking forwards to looking at the 'Caught In Oils', 'Natural Wonders' and 'Drawings Conclusions' because I think they could potentially hold inspiration to my work and the way I paint/sketch.I am very looking forwards to going to the Natural History Museum because nature is something I find incredibly interesting and I think I will enjoy looking into how art has helped us figuring out the history behind nature in the past.
I also Rocks and Minerals is a place I really want to go to again in the natural history museum.
- NATIONAL SCIENCE MUSEUM
I have never been to the national science museum before and will be incredibly interested in the entire place. However, more specifically, I will be excited to see the 'Who Am I?' exhibition by Antony Gormle because its about human vulnerability. I enjoy science of the mind/body and do typically express that through my art. I also do enjoy learning about the climate and how us as people have instigated such huge changed in the world.
- TATE
I have been to Tate Modern in the past 2 months and have seen near enough the entire place. But, as Richard Tuttle's 'I don't know' exhibition was not yet finished, I will most definitely see this. I really would like to go into the visual room where it is black and you can only see people as slight shadows.
-VICTORIA AND ALBERT MUSEUM
- Room 45 - Room 45 is a room which is mainly focused on Japanese art. I have always been incredibly interested in Japan and I will indefinitely be looking at it.
- Room 90 - The Julie and Robert Breckman Gallery is mainly prints and drawings and I think this could potentially influence my work and looks specifically interesting.
- The rest I intend on just venturing around.
