Vanessa Kary's work would be absolutely beautiful as a background or even as the entire painting. The painting can be represented as anything and you choose to interpret it, which I think would be ideal for the current project. Personally, I find her work extremely calming and to be very vibrant, exciting and despite it being abstract, I can interpret it to be anything from the milky way -to- oil spilled on a wet floor. I think that a painting that can draw you in and make you look and question for ages what it could possibly be, is instantly a winner.

I do intend on using these as a main focus for the background image. Although I do not intend it to look quite anything like hers as such because hers would be unimaginably hard to re-invent extensively, I do intend on using the style (the fading into one another and the calming colours.) I think that personally, it would look incredibly wonderful as a backing image with a simple structure over the top and possibly an incorporation of Jackson Pollocks splatting technique as the final touch.
