Mole

- He's the first character to be introduced

- He was fed up of spring cleaning, so he ventured into the outside world where he eventually adapts to the new surroundings.

- Mole is a sensitive animal, generous and extremely loyal to the fellow animals that surround him. His closest friend is Rat which is the animal that teaches him about the importance of exploration after he leaves the comfort of his home in the first chapter. 

- Due to Mole being the younger character than Rat and Badger, he gives us the first insite into the story, as he slowly matures from a timid, frightened animal into a self-reliant, brave and clever companion.
