FRANKIE ILLUSTRATORS
Frankie is an illustrative magazine based in Australia. Although I haven't had access to buy them, I have seen a lot of their pieces on Tumblr. I really like the idea of illustrating for magazines and quirky places.
Kid Acne is a wonderful artist. He is based in Sheffield and has recently opened up his own museum named the 'B&B' in Sheffield on St Mary's street. Kid Acne has lots of street art up around Sheffield; so much so it's unavoidable. He has worked with magazines and has worked on many minor extremely short films. He also has a youtube channel with his own little post-punk raps! They're pretty odd and mainly about life (stereotypically) but slightly funny also.
Phlegm's artwork is really impressive, despite it being illustrative, it's extremely detailed. I do love his style. I have seen it again up and around Sheffield because he also does street art. Phlegm has travelled and produced all kind of work all over the world. Recently he has developed it in the USA too! Here's some of his work:
Where I want to be when I eventually reach my goal and what my goal is: money isn't especially a large factor of my life.
Due to being Vegan: I could easily just grow my own vegetation etc and I'd be more than happy with my life. I already buy relatively cheap clothing; a lot second hand because it doesn't bother me. I love fashion but I think fashion is A LOT more than just buying a shirt from a brand where thousands of other people in the world are buying from. I love nature.
If I stayed in England, I would like to live in Sheffield/Leeds or Manchester, but I'd have to be slightly (just ever so slightly) out of the city, but kind of close too. I DO NOT want to stay in Worksop. I despise Worksop and I despise the vast majority of experiences I have currently experienced whilst living in Worksop. Due to me originally living in Sheffield, that place really does feel like home; even when I've been there a short amount of time.
I hate Staying in one place for too long, though. Hypothetically, I'd be happy abroad. Somewhere I can wake up and sit on a patio in the sunshine or in a lovely garden, with music and illustrating for something big.
I adore travelling. Also (hypothetically speaking again) I would enjoy travelling the USA in a somewhat 'rubbish' bus surrounded by people I love. This is most likely a dream that is a 'youthful' pursuit and is going to be something that is going to be difficult to achieve if I get tied down, so I need to avoid being tied down in someplace I'm not happy in that situation.
I would also enjoy tattooing. Despite this entire post being based on illustrating. I would love to illustrate and do a slight bit of tattooing on the side, possibly? Here's some work by my two favourite tattooists (Hannah Snowdon and Grace Neutral):
