Inspirations for Stones(r's)

Frank Miller
Frank Miller is an artist and writer who has created comics and is a hugely well known illustrator across the world. Mainly due to Sin City, Millers known for his bold, black and white compositions with contrasting bold colours in specific sectors. I have chosen to stylise my work based on his because personally, I find it very aesthetically pleasing and intend to use his working way (black and white with a splash of colour) in my own work.
This specific design inspired my city scene. It inspired it by the specs of white, which I depicted as stars in a night sky and incorporated that into my own work. I decided that it would be more than relevant to use this in my City Scene and potentially use it in even more scenes as I think it makes everything 'pop' in the foreground without it being bland and boring.

Although I'm not entirely sure if this is actually Frank Millers work, I do know it's stylised based upon his work. It is of Finn from adventure time. Whoever did do this, despite my doubts of it being a genuine Millers illustration, did a pretty good job of it.

The above two images are more illustrations I find somewhat inspiring for my own design. I love the contrast of bold black and white yet it not losing it's overall complexity and composition. It works well and looks (Well, to me) extremely visually appealing and that is why I'm planning on using it in my own work.
Tom J Newell
I always have loved Tom J Newell's work and I find all of his work inspiring. But I decided to use his comic illustration, Beer Psycho, as a huge inspiration to my own comic because it's detail but again, black and white like Frank Millers which I really like.
