The above two are two images are rather frequent scenes in spongebob. Neither indicate a mood or set the scene for the up coming show because they have neutral colours that are rather dull but (personally) I don't find them boring colours either. So I'd depict it to be a relatively ordinary up-coming event. I would use blues in mine because I think it can be reflected to be a calming colour and not a spoiler for the up-coming scene. This, I think, would benefit the suspense and surprise of my story.

Spongebob inspired sequence
I have decided that the sequence where you're told the time-frame, that it will be somewhat Spongebob inspired. But, however, I wont be using the backgrounds (the chilled blues that look very 60's) I will be using images of either the sky or grass for relevance. I could potentially try drawing out similar time-frames with the backgrounds as jelly fish or ordinary fish! I think at this stage I may actually only use my own imagery and incorporate the typography.
