Bus Station Psychadelic Work

We have been set the assignment further, now we have to create a bus station wall piece. Although I wasn't too happy about it, because of how many assignment deadlines we have coming up and this isn't all that crucial to be done; I have been thinking about perusing a bright, very psychedelic piece which will brighten up the space that we are filling!
This is the first bus related piece I've done, as an experiment. I figured making the bus into a silhouette and then placing it on the top of a psychedelic, very bright piece to show a contrast.
I first tried it out on a pinky-purple piece with a yellow outline, but it instantly came apparent that it wouldn't work very well compositionally. I then decided to, on illustrator still, re-create and try out an inspiration piece from a psychedelic 70's art piece.
The above image is a poster created by C Bland. I decided to pick out his check-work piece and use it in my own work because it's heavily patterned and when situation in the style he did it, is very pleasant and very visually appealing. I am most likely to use this bit in my final one because I think it will be very bold and if I make it bright, it will stand out well.
The above image isn't too good that I created. But you get my drift; because it will work out well if I colour coordinate and make sure it is bold and very psycadelically inspired.
This is placed in the wrong order since I can't move it, but this is my originally trying out design. It's very bright and I actually really like it but Dave said it needs to be a lot bolder and I'll be taking that into account for my very final one.

Over all, I will be making a very bold, bright image that will be psycadelically inspired and I will be trying to make it lighten the room single handedly.
