In the video "bored" by safeheaven, they are very into aliens and use in the video that they are searching for aliens and to make people believe. They capture a Polaroid shot of the alien they come across and then take it back (but then take it back and play live to the alien...haha!) - I like the effect they've used, which is your vivid generic Polaroid shot and and actually faked the alien as a prop so it's even more effective to be convincing.
